Hello, I’m Mary-Ann Millar, owner of Pilates & Yoga with Mary-Ann.

I teach Mat Pilates, Vinyasa Yoga, and Yin Yoga, and my purpose is simple: to support and inspire you in building physical strength, reducing stress, and improving overall wellbeing. My classes are welcoming, fun, and inclusive—with clear guidance and a focus on helping you feel confident in your body, whether you're brand new or returning to movement after a break.

I came to teaching after a 23-year career in the tech industry, where I held a range of roles—from technical consulting to sales leadership—working with some of the world’s leading IT companies, including IBM, Dell, SAP, Salesforce and Gartner. Yoga became my sanctuary during those fast-paced years, and at age 46, I stepped away from corporate life to follow a long-held dream and retrain as a yoga teacher. I’ve never looked back.

Outside the studio, rowing has been a lifelong passion. I learned to row at university and went on to represent Scotland internationally, with the pinnacle of my journey being two Commonwealth medals as stroke of the lightweight double and quadruple sculls. Rowing taught me discipline, resilience, and how movement can anchor and transform us—lessons I carry into my teaching.

I’m originally from the UK but traded grey skies for blue when I moved to beautiful Woolgoolga, where I now live with my Aussie husband, Christopher. You’ll find me teaching at the Wiigulga Sports Complex—alongside Lotta and Annie. We’d love to welcome you to a class.
